Description
RenameFiles is a small tool for OS Windows. The tool allows you to retrieve filenames from InDesign file, create names list and rename all files in the selected folder.

Using RenameFiles
To rename files:
1. Extract all files from the archive to a new folder.
2. Launch the tool (exe file), press Load Names List button and find an Excel file, that contains old and new names.
3. Press Browse button to select a Folder, which contains your files.
4. Press Find button to find all files in the Folder
5. Press Rename button to rename these files. The renamed files appear in the list.
Note: You can use Reverse button to get the previous filename back.
To create names list:
1. Please press Get source pic button to retrieve original filenames from InDesign file.
2. Please press Find local pic button to find localized pictures.
3. Please use <A>, <W>, <S>, <D> keys and arrow keys to align them.
Please <space> key to match them. Background of matched pictures changes to green or yellow color.
You can use <Del> key to remove selected picture from the list.
4. When you finished, please press Save Names button to save matched files to an Excel file.
